Installation of a solar power plant for a clinic in Tanganyika Masagati, that is a secluded village in the Morogoro region 650 km from Dar es Salaam. The clinic is operated by the Evangelical Church. As the nearest hospital is 70 km away, the people are dependent on the clinic.
At the moment, the clinic is run by a small solar system, which includes lighting but not the use of life-like devices such as microscopes. With the new solar system not only the detection of malaria and worms under the microscope is possible, but also the cooling of drugs.
In addition, the uninterrupted power supply is an important factor to gain access to qualified doctors and other medical personnel for work in this rural region.
